TVS to rev up demand for NTorq in Nepal, launches Race Edition
Looking to build on demand for the NTorq scooter in the neighbouring market of Nepal, TVS has launched the NTorq 125 Race Edition scooter there.
TVS Motor Co is going great guns with its NTorq 125 scooter. Launched in February 2018, the snazzy 125cc scooter crossed the 350,000 sales mark in 19 months in the domestic market. The company is now looking to build traction for the product in overseas markets. From launch till now, a total of 49,062 NTorqs have been exported.
Looking to build on demand for the NTorq scooter in the neighbouring market of Nepal, TVS has launched the NTorq 125 Race Edition scooter there. The Race Edition comes with signature LED DRLs, LED headlamp, a hazard lamp and is clad in three- tone combination of matte black, metallic black and metallic red colour.
The NTorq 125 is powered by a CVTi-REVV 124.79cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 3-valve, air-cooled SOHC engine that develops 9.4 hp at 7500rpm and 10.5 Nm torque at 5500rpm.
Commenting on the launch, R Dilip, Executive Vice-President, International Business, TVS Motor Company, said, “Since its launch, the TVS NTorq 125 has become a darling of its Gen Z customers in Nepal. Apart from its striking appearance and the TVS SmartXonnect feature, it is the performance which has been the hallmark of the TVS NTorq 125 experience. The scooter is built on a rich pedigree of 37 years of TVS Racing.”
